Ezinwa Hanein

Founder & CEO

About me
Motherhood changed me in ways I never expected.

Following the birth of my child, I experienced firsthand the emotional and physical realities of the postpartum period. What I imagined would be a joyful transition into motherhood quickly became a season marked by exhaustion, vulnerability and severe postpartum blues. Despite searching, I could not find a place intentionally designed for postpartum recovery, a space where mothers could rest, heal, receive expert guidance and simply be cared for.

In conversations with friends, family, fellow mothers—both first-time and experienced—and even women preparing for motherhood, I discovered that this experience was far from unique. There was a profound and deeply unmet need for structured, compassionate postpartum care.

At the same time, I found immense strength through the intercession of Our Lady of La Leche, whose nurturing example became a source of comfort and hope during one of the most difficult seasons of my life. It was through this experience that the vision for Our Lady of La Leche Centre was born.

My background in real estate and business development has shaped my ability to create thoughtful spaces and build meaningful systems, but this work is deeply personal to me. I envisioned a place that reimagines the warmth of Nigerian Omugwo through a holistic model of care that nurtures the body, mind and spirit, ensuring mothers feel held, restored and deeply supported after childbirth.

My hope is simple: that no mother journeys through postpartum alone.
